Wendell & Wild - Maya, Zbrush, Substance, Unreal

Environment and Character work on Wendell & Wild. This was a small amount of work, but still, I was excited to be a part of this project. At the time, FuseFX was just starting to use Unreal Engine in its pipeline, and this was one of the first projects we employed it. My tasks were to model a replica of the set model's rocky basin that the creature sits in, as we needed a CG replace to composite into places where the claymation animator's hands were captured on camera. The model then needed to be brought into Unreal where it was look-dev'd, then passed on to the lighters for shot integration. At the end of the shot, when the ghosts fly into the mouth, I was the modeling and texture supervisor, and guided another team member as they built the mouth and tongue asset which needed to be entirely CG.
